Personal Life

I'm a former Division I volleyball player from Chapel Hill, North Carolina (Go Heels!).

I moved to Dublin in 2022 with my job at Utmost and completely fell in love with my life here. And, I can visit a new country tomorrow for €20?! What a dream!

My Boston Terrier, Oswald, is the best thing that ever happened to me. Anyone who meets him knows he is the sweetest, cuddliest little guy around.

Pottery

My mom is my inspiration here. She is an incredible potter, and she has made all of my favorite cups, plates, and bowls that I use in my home every day. I'm still very much a beginner, but I find the practice very grounding.

All birthday, holiday, and hostess gifts from me will likely come out of the studio for the foreseeable…

What I'm currently working on

  • Shaping spouts: I want the perfect pour without drips down the side
  • Carving: Adding textures to wheel-thrown pieces, and experimenting with how glaze interacts with the edges

Sailing

The big side-quest of 2026. After a few sailing holidays with friends in Croatia, I became determined to get qualified to skipper a boat myself. More qualified skippers in the group means an even bigger and better holiday!

Theory came first, completed in early August: Flotilla-Bareboat Skipper, the 24m ICC, and Marine VHF short range radio.

I've since passed the practical examinations for the Flotilla Skipper's license and the ICC. The Bareboat Skipper's license takes more training, so that's what I'm working towards next.

Music, Movies, and TV

Evenings and weekends are filled with going to the cinema, gigs around Dublin, or too many episodes of a series for one sitting.

I have an Omniplex pass, and my local cinema saw me scan in for 56 screenings in 2025 alone. I'll see almost anything, but Wes Anderson and the Coen Brothers are always at the top of my list.
